Today, April 21 in Doha (Qatar) started XXIII Asian Championships in athletics.
On the first day of the competition Elina Mikhina distinguished herself by updating her Season Best. In the final race at 400 meters, the athlete finished second with a result 53.19. Thus, Elina brought the first medal in the treasury of the national team.
Also, Mikhail Litvin showed his best result. The athlete set a new Kazakhstan record in the 400-meter race (45.38).
Tomorrow the athlete will take part in the final race.
