Athletes of the Altay Athletics Club started the track season with a victory at the IAAF World Challenge

The world track season started at the IAAF World Challenge in the Brazilian city Bragança Paulista.

On April 28, Altay Athletics athletes Norah Jeruto and Daisy Jepkemey took part in the Grande Premio Brasil De Atletismo 2019.

These are international status competitions of the IAAF World Challenge series.

The IAAF World Challenge is the 2nd largest annual international track and field athletics series in the world, after the Diamond League.

At the first stage of the series, athlete of the club Daisy Jepkemey won the 3000 m race with a score 8:52.16. She updated her personal best.

Another Altay Athletics athlete, Norah Jeruto, ran a distance of 3000 meters with a score 8:53.38.

The IAAF World Challenge consists of 9 stages. The next stage will take place on May 4 in Kingston (Jamaica), and will end on September 3 in the Zagreb city (Croatia).
