The international athletics tournament Astana Indoor Meet for Amin Tuyakov Prizes has started in Astana.

 Astana Indoor Meet is a tournament of Gold level series of the World Indoor Tour, which is being held in Asia for the first time. Every year, the series takes place in only 7 cities around the world, such as Boston, New York, Madrid, Lieven, Torun and Ostrava.
136 athletes from 45 countries around the world are participating in the competition. Kazakhstan is represented by 28 athletes.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova, President of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Danial Akhmetov, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ermek Marzhikpayev, Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek attended the opening of the tournament.
