MEDALLISTS OF ALL RACES AT THE EKIBASTUZ HALF MARATHON

Running enthusiasts and amateurs from various regions and cities took part in the Ekibastuz Half Marathon on 8 June.

The Ekibastuz Half Marathon, held on 8 June, brought together running enthusiasts from across Kazakhstan to compete in a festive and athletic atmosphere. The event featured three distances for both men and women: 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres, and the 21-kilometre half marathon.

The most popular race was the women’s 5K, with 192 participants, while 164 men lined up for the same distance. The 10K drew 177 men and 77 women, and the half marathon saw 21 men and 16 women at the start line.

The medal-winners came from a diverse range of cities, including Astana, Aktobe, Semey, Pavlodar, Karaganda, Almaty, and Ekibastuz.

In the women’s 5K, victory went to Galina Yakusheva, an international-class Master of Sport in race walking. Among the men, the 5K was won by Alimzhan Baltabek, known for his performances in national-level athletics competitions.

The 10K and half marathon titles went to dedicated amateur runners with notable experience and passion for the sport: Diana Assauova of Karaganda and Ruslan Bekeshov of Semey in the 10K, and Aigul Arzhanikova of Astana and Nurisbek Seksembai of Almaty in the half marathon.
