Thanks to consistent support and strategic decisions aimed at developing both professional and grassroots sports, Kazakhstan continues to solidify its standing on the international sports stage.
In the first six months of this year alone, the country welcomed leaders from 13 international sports federations and national Olympic committees. This reflects Kazakhstan’s growing authority in the global sports community and the high level of trust in the state’s sports policy.
In line with the President’s directives, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan is expanding cooperation with international federations, developing infrastructure, and carrying out comprehensive efforts to host major sporting events across the country.
One of the key steps in boosting Kazakhstan’s global sporting presence was the election of Minister Yermek Marzhikpayev to the Coordination Board of Directors of the International Judo Federation (IJF). The committee, composed of representatives from 13 countries, oversees the strategic development of judo worldwide and coordinates the work of 20 commissions. Kazakhstan is the only country from Central Asia represented on this body.
