The General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee has approved the updated composition of the Executive Committee.
On April 23, during the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan held in Astana, one of the key items on the agenda was the approval of the new composition of the Executive Committee. This restructuring was prompted by changes in the leadership of several sports organizations and other personnel adjustments.
The new Executive Committee includes representatives from a number of national sports federations. Among them is Olga Rypakova, President of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation.
Rypakova is one of the most decorated athletes in Kazakhstan’s sporting history. She is an Olympic gold medalist (2012), silver medalist (2008), and bronze medalist (2016) in the triple jump, a three-time World Championships medalist (2011, 2015, 2017), and a three-time World Indoor Championships medalist (2008, 2010, 2012). She also claimed gold at four Asian Games—in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018.
Olga Rypakova was appointed head of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation in December 2024. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia.
