TRAINING CAMP IN TURKEY – TEAM KAZAKHSTAN ROSTER (WOMEN)

Qazathletics.kz begins its introduction of Team Kazakhstan, currently training in Turkey, with the women’s roster.

 

Many of Kazakhstan’s top track and field athletes are currently holding a training camp in Belek, Turkey, which began on April 10 and will run through May 1. A total of 23 Kazakh athletes are training in Belek, including 11 women. Here is the women's roster:

1. Yuliya Bashmanova (East Kazakhstan Region) – 100m hurdles
2. Nadezhda Dubovitskaya (East Kazakhstan Region) – high jump
3. Mariya Yefremova (Karaganda Region) – triple jump
4. Adelina Zems (Karaganda Region) – 400m hurdles
5. Kristina Kondrashova (Astana) – high jump
6. Elizaveta Matveeva (East Kazakhstan Region) – high jump
7. Margarita Nazarenko (Akmola Region) – 100m, 200m
8. Kristina Ovchinnikova (Almaty) – high jump
9. Anastasiya Rypakova (East Kazakhstan Region) – long jump
10. Olga Safronova (Pavlodar Region) – 100m, 200m
11. Anel Shulakova (Karaganda Region) – 100m hurdles

The youngest athlete on the list is long jumper Anastasiya Rypakova, who is 20 years old. Slightly older are sprinter Margarita Nazarenko and high jumper Elizaveta Matveeva, both 23.

The most experienced and decorated member of the team is sprinter Olga Safronova. A four-time Olympian (2012, 2016, 2020, 2024), she has won gold medals at both the Asian Games and Asian Championships. Safronova remains one of Asia’s top sprinters, and in 2024 she clocked the fastest 200m time among Asian athletes — 23.01 seconds.

As for other leaders of Kazakhstan’s women’s team, high jumper Nadezhda Dubovitskaya earned a bronze medal at the 2022 World Indoor Championships, while Mariya Yefremova became Asian champion in the triple jump back in 2017.
